In support of SBS Transit's Kindness Month campaign, the RGS Peer Support Board spearheaded an initiative to present appreciation notes from the Rafflesian community to the station staff at the Stevens and Botanic Gardens stations along the Downtown Line. This initiative is also part of Kindness Week (21-24 May) in RGS.

RGS submitted a total of 23 entries for The New York Times Asia-Pacific Writing Competition 2018. Of those entries submitted, student Er Kay Lynn's work was shortlisted and published in a book by The New York Times.
