🌿 Seeing biodiversity as a bigger picture!

This term, our students and staff took part in a Biodiversity Collage Workshop, using creativity, collaboration and discussion to explore how ecosystems work, what puts them under pressure, and how our actions are connected to the natural world.
Facilitated by The Transmutation Principle (NGO) through the Nature Society Singapore (NSS), the three hour workshop turned complex biodiversity concepts into an engaging, hands on learning experience, leaving participants with new perspectives on how we can better understand and care for the world around us. 💚
Here's what our students have to share about the workshop:
The Biodiversity Collage workshop was incredibly innovative and informative to me, as it taught us to make the links between multiple concepts that we have learnt in class. The workshop itself really tested the depth of our understanding on the impacts of our human activity on our environment, as we made sense and sorted out the cards logically. I believe that this workshop truly showed me how small actions matter in shaping our future as a whole.— Zheng Xinchen Tricia (S3-03)
It was an eye-opening experience to learn about the different causes and effects of biodiversity loss. Through the hand-on experience of the collage activity, I found it insightful to be able to clearly see the links between each of the aspects and realise relationships between the processes, stakeholders and effects of biodiversity in our world today.
