Earth Week 2026, centred on the theme “Our Power, Our Planet”, brought our school community together to reflect on the impact of our everyday choices and the collective role we play in shaping a more sustainable future. 🌍💚
The week began with Mega-Watt Monday, where classrooms went dark in a shared effort to reduce energy use, alongside insights from Sembcorp Industries on Singapore’s sustainability journey and the role of solar energy. On Trash-Free Tuesday, the Greenhouse Carnival featured interactive booths by our SVIA and CmPS teams, encouraging students to rethink waste through engaging, student-led activities and sparking deeper awareness of how daily habits affect the environment. Midweek, conversations with our Green Ambassadors highlighted how small, intentional actions can make a meaningful difference in our everyday lives.
The week concluded with Car-Free Day, where students and staff took steps to reduce their environmental footprint by choosing more sustainable modes of transport, a collective effort that will continue every Friday moving forward.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all partners, speakers, vendors, and student teams who contributed to making Earth Week meaningful and impactful. Your efforts and shared commitment have helped inspire our community to take small but purposeful steps towards caring for our planet!
