Flora Mapping Workshop at Site B

🌿 Getting to know the plants growing around us!
On 5 September, our students and staff explored the biodiversity of our Rewilded Site B through a Flora Mapping Workshop, held in collaboration with Prof Hwang from NUS College of Design and Engineering, and led by Camphora Master Flora Specialist, Ms Boo Chih Min.
Participants learnt how experts identify and document plant species, while surveying the site and tagging young plants that could be conserved or transplanted. A hands-on opportunity to see how biodiversity is studied and cared for right here on our campus! 💚
Flora mapping was α very fun and enriching experience. I got to learn about different types of plants and smell different kinds of leaves. It made me realise how diverse and interesting the plant life in RGS is. I also saw a lot of cool insects at the site, like weaver ants. 10/10 would definitely do again.— Kaelyn Tan Jing Shuen (S4-11)
