From kampung stories to mangrove ecosystems, our students discovered how nature, heritage and community shape sustainability on Pulau Ubin.

Last week, our Year 1 and Year 3 students embarked on a multidisciplinary learning journey to Pulau Ubin, exploring how its people, places, and ecosystems offer valuable insights into sustainability in Singapore.
From hearing the stories of kampung residents and discovering the rich biodiversity of the island, to exploring mangrove ecosystems and reflecting on the shared responsibility of conservation, our students experienced firsthand what it means to protect a place where nature, heritage, and community coexist.

This experience was incredibly fun, educational, and a memorable way to spend my OWN HBL day. Through the learning jouney, I have developed a greater appreciation for the conservation efforts to maintain the natural environment on Pulau Ubin, so future generations are also able to see the fascinating wildlife we have encountered.— Sukittirat Techatanachai (303)
