Singapore Silent Heroes 2025

Recognising the impact of everyday acts of compassion, the Singapore Silent Heroes Award honoured three of our students for their consistent efforts to make a difference.
The Singapore Silent Heroes (SSH) Award Presentation is an annual ceremony organised by the Civilians Association (Singapore) (opens in new tab) (CAS). The award recognises ordinary, everyday Singaporeans and permanent residents for their extraordinary humanity and compassion towards people, causes, and missions.

Student Reflections
Clara Kho S406
Through RGSmile and BondHomies, I learnt that service isn’t about grand gestures but small acts of empathy and connection. From advocating for cleft children to building kampung spirit, these experiences shaped my belief that meaningful change begins with understanding and human connection.
Klarisse Ng S412
Through Project Pal and Project Luminare, I learnt that true service lies in connection. Whether comforting palliative care patients or supporting rare disease families, being present and building trust matter most. Service is about walking with, not doing for, others.

Through my VIA journey, I learnt that service is rooted in empathy, not just helping but understanding. In RGSmile, I saw how mindset shifts matter. True service means standing with others, listening deeply, and using our voice to amplify theirs.
