Congratulations to Gayathri Suresh Harisugaritha (403) on clinching First Prize in the Tamil Representative Council’s (TRC) National Day Observance 2026 Essay Writing Competition!
Writing on themes of national values, nation building, and patriotism, Sugaritha had the opportunity to present her essay to the audience during TRC’s annual National Day celebrations on 15 August.
We are especially proud to see her work and achievement featured on Mediacorp Vasantham Tamil News as she read her essay and received her award.
Writing is one of my biggest interests in all languages I learn, and I was glad to have the opportunity to use my strength to represent RGS. In the two hours we were given to craft our essay, I kept writing and rewriting certain parts of my essay, wanting it to be the best piece of work I have written. Yet, as the topic was unlike what I usually get for my usual school essays, I had a lot of doubts and kept second guessing whether my approach to the question was correct. In the end, it all paid off, and I was delighted to read my essay to the crowd of around 200 people at TRC’s National Day Observance event.— Sugaritha

என்னை இப்போட்டியில் பங்கேற்க ஊக்குவித்த எனது ஆசிரியர் திரு கும்பலிங்கம் உத்தமன் அவர்களுக்கு எனது மிகப்பெரிய நன்றியைத் தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கிறேன். உயர்நிலை இரண்டாம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து அவர் எனக்கு அளித்த பயிற்சியினாலும் ஆர்வமூட்டும் வகையில் தமிழ் கற்பித்ததாலும் தான் என்னால் இதுபோன்ற பல போட்டிகளில் பங்கேற்று வெற்றியும் பெற முடிகிறது!
