Organised by the Association of Science, Technology, and Innovation (ASTI), the competition aims to develop future inventors who will be the positive change-makers of tomorrow by encouraging students to find innovative solutions to current-day problems. For 2023, the finalists were required to invent a product and/or process capable of providing a resolution to a certain level and having an impact on this year’s theme: ‘Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’.
A total of 217 participating teams from 8 different countries (Brunei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand) were selected for the finals of the competition, and only 30 teams were further shortlisted for the online viva session. RGS is honored to be the only two teams (opens in new tab) from Singapore shortlisted.
