International Mathematical Olympiad 2020
Congratulations to RGS Year 4 student Hu Xinghui who clinched a silver medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2020! She was part of a six-person team that represented Singapore this year for the Olympiad, making her the first RGS student to be part of the Singapore team in the competition.
IMO is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for high school students and is held annually in a different country. The first IMO was held in 1959 in Romania, with seven countries participating. It has gradually expanded to over 100 countries from five continents.
