Executive, Research
You will work closely with
the teachers in the Centre for Pedagogical Research & Learning team;
be responsible for quality research output in the school and provide
administrative support to the Centre as a hub for research, consultancy
and professional development.
Your job responsibilities are to:
- Be abreast with educational issues and maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational trends
- Conduct skills-build up sessions for students and provide support to research studies projects
- Present and/or publish findings at conferences, workshops and publications
- Steer
Practitioner Inquiry through call for proposals, monitoring of project
progress as well as provide research advice for teachers
- Co-ordinate research activities e.g. protocol submission and logistics
- Engage in research such as research design and data collection, including classroom observations, recording and interviews
- Assist in data transcription and analysis using appropriate software
- Undertake
administrative tasks like minutes-taking, proof-reading and
copy-editing of in-house publication, Insights, administrative support
for events and updating content on the PeRL website
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree
- Strong analytical skill and familiarity with research methodologies
- Excellent command of the English language, with strong writing and editing skills
- Good interpersonal skills, independent worker and team player

Assistant/Officer, Library
The incumbent will be responsible in supporting the IT team on the following and not limited to:
- Ensure efficient processing and circulation of materials/resources, including renewing and returning, charging, generation of reports and OPAC Web enquiry. This includes withdrawing, repairing or reconditioning library materials.
- Shelve library materials and shelf-read proficiently and in accordance with the standards of the RGS Library. This includes processing new materials and ensuring they are on the shelves as soon as possible.
- Collaborate in library management processes such as weeding and stock-taking.
- Be responsible for library housekeeping, including tidying and straightening of library materials and maintaining clear and accurate shelf signages, to keep the library neat and conducive.
- Manage library email accounts and user accounts, including follow-up on overdue/damaged/lost books and updating user accounts.
- Prepare monthly and termly administrative reports such as on library usage, loan statistics, reference enquiries and library activities/programmes.
- Provide logistics, administrative, procurement and finance-related support to the department
- Provide support for the management of suppliers and vendors
- Pull resources for book displays and reservations, maintain library displays and assist with collection promotion initiatives
- Assist library users with directional questions, ready reference questions, reader advisory, and other library tools or refer user to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in the creation and promotion of online resources and/or promotional materials activities in accordance with Manager’s advocacy plans
- Assist in co-ordination of library workshops and programmes.
- Catalogue and accession materials as needed under the guidance and supervision of Manager.
- Ensure that the established behavioural standards are always observed by the library users.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements - Minimum GCE ‘’O’ level qualifications or its equivalent
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience
- Possesses computer literacy and proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications. E.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
- Meticulous with excellent attention to details
- Possesses physical strength and ability to operate library equipment properly and efficiently
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to supervise and manage student and other library user behaviour in an approachable, patient and tactful manner
- A proactive team player who can work independently
- Preferably trained in the use of Spydus Library Automation System
- Previous experience in a school library environment would be an added advantage
IT Support Assistant (1 Year Temp Contract)
The incumbent will be responsible in supporting the IT team on the following and not limited to:
- Daily Check of Backup job (monitoring)
- Weekly Physical check of Server Rooms
- Timely renewal on Teaching & Learning application Licenses
- Daily support on staff and students devices
- Creating case ticket to escalate to vendors
- Assist IT team members on Windows server updates and timely renewal of server certificates
- AV support as and when required
Requirements - Minimum Nitec in any IT related discipline or equivalent
- IT support and troubleshooting experience will be advantageous
- Able to start immediately
