For the first time in the history of RGS, the Arts Festival and RGS Nite, the two biennial RGS events that have alternated with each other, will be held together as the grand finale to RGS’ 130th Anniversary celebrations.
Stretching over 12 and 13 November, the two events come under the umbrella of the RGS Arts Festival. With the theme, All Rafflesians Take Stage, its acronym spelling ARTS, the festival brings together the talents of the RGS family, international partner schools as well as accomplished artists and artistes who are accomplished in their circles. One activity, Playground, a project of RGS alumnus and artist Dawn Ng, invites every RGS girl to play a part in its creation.
In the day, RGS girls choose from a smorgasbord of art and craft activities offered at various locations all over the school. When twilight falls, the action shifts to the University Cultural Centre (NUS), where RGS Nite, with its line up of award-winning performing groups and professional guest soloists, promises to dazzle and enchant the audience, and end our 130th anniversary in an unforgettable crescendo.
