RGS received the *Green Mark Award at the BCA Awards Ceremony held at the Resorts World Convention Centre last evening (29 May 2019).

RGS Principal Mrs Poh Mun See (holding the award) with the team of consultants for the new RGS Campus.

This award reinforces RGS’ efforts on environmental sustainability. Our approach to sustainability is guided by a sense of purpose:

  1. Environmental Sustainability as a Culture in RGS
  2. Environmental Consciousness & Responsibility
  3. Individual & Collective Action

We endeavour to integrate environmental sustainability awareness into events, curriculum and enrichment programmes and communicate environmental sustainability issues to the school community and public.

Examples of some of our programmes include ‘Green’ Fridays, Meat-free days, Waste Minimisation.

*The BCA Green Mark Scheme was launched in January 2005 as an initiative to shape a more environmentally friendly and sustainable built environment. An annual event, the award pays tribute to displays of excellence in the built environment in the areas of safety, quality, sustainability and user friendliness.
