Year 1 Orientation Week was held from 2-3 and 6-7 January 2020. It marks the start of our Year 1's journey in RGS, and during the week, activities were planned and spearheaded by our students form the various Lead Boards to help our Year 1s learn more about the ethos of the school, and the songs and cheers that students for generations, have given voice and shouted their hearts out to. RGS HUSH-STEM Week was held from 17-27 February 2020 and the organising team, made up of staff from the RGS Aesthetics Department, Humanities Department, Mathematics Department, Science Department and Talent Development team, our career guidance counsellor, librarian, students and staff of Cogitare Club, House, Robotics Club and Infocomm Club came together to put up a series of exciting programmes and activities. ![]() Mother Tongue Fortnight 2020 The RGS Languages Department held a wide range of cultural activities, including a Silat workshop, a talk on the Tamil media in Singapore as well as the inaugural 'Voice of RGS', where participants compete in a mandarin singing competition. |

![]() English Week 2020The theme this year centres on the power of storytelling, and one of the highlights of the week saw students and teachers dressing up as familiar characters from fables, fairy tales, folklore, myths and legends!

Joseph Schooling Sports GrantRGS Year 3 student-athlete Bernard Sarah Jun Xin is the recipient of this year's Joseph Schooling Sports Grant, which aims to support Eurasians in their pursuit of sports and academic excellence.

Visit by Senior Minister of State, Mr Chee Hong TatThe visit was part of an initiative to understand how schools are responding to the COVID-19 situation, and he also took the opportunity to interact with staff, students and canteen vendors on a walk-about around the campus.
